This is the beautiful 2 yr old Trudie. As you can imagine we’ve had a lot of interest in her . . . due to her looks and her young age.

We don’t know if she jumped a short fence and ran away or what, but we do know that no one looked for her, so she ended up a stray in the shelter and then she came to KCDR. It is safe to say that her original owner didn’t do any training or obedience work with her – maybe she’d become more trouble than they could be bothered with and that’s why they didn’t go and reclaim her. Their loss.

Trudie has been doing well in foster care w/ other Dobermans and a structured life. She’s had a lot of Doggy DayCare experience and wants to please . . . but she can still be a challenge. She counter surfs and will get sassy if she doesn't get her way or attention - but that is improving as she matures. She needs mental engagement.

Due to her size and enthusiasm we won't place her in a home w/ young children or with cats. She’s a big sweet, beautiful girl that needs strict guidance and an experienced owner. A fenced yard is a must, likewise she needs an owner that appreciates the lifelong benefits of obedience training – both for the dog and for the owner. We won’t make exception to these two. .
